1. Storage of access data in server log files

2. Data collection and use for contract processing and when opening a customer account
We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when contacting us (e.g. via the contact form or email) or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to process the contract and handle your enquiries. After the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after the expiry of the tax and commercial-law retention periods of up to 10 years, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to a use of the data beyond this that is permitted by law and about which we inform you below. You can delete your customer account at any time, either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.
3. Data transfer for contract fulfilment
For the purpose of contract fulfilment, we pass on your data to our sales representatives and to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the ordered goods. To process payments, we pass on the payment data required for this to the bank commissioned with the payment and, where applicable, to payment service providers commissioned by us, or to the payment service you selected during the ordering process.
4. Use of data when subscribing to the email newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the data required for this or provided separately by you in order to regularly send you our email newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.
5. Use of data for postal advertising and your right to object
In addition, we reserve the right to use your company name, first name and surname, your postal address and (insofar as we have received this additional information from you within the scope of the contractual relationship) your title, your academic degree, your year of birth and your professional, industry or business designation, as well as the transaction history of our business relationship, for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information about our products by postal mail. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.
6. Use of cookies
In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with further services associated with website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data and is automatically deleted after 14 months at the latest. 8. Legal bases
The legal basis for the email communication described in section 4 above and the web analysis described in section 7 is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with your respective consent. The legal basis for the data processing for advertising purposes described in section 5 above is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (balancing of interests, based on our interest in successfully marketing our own products). For the remaining processing operations described herein, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract fulfilment and pre-contractual measures).
9. Your rights and contact option
You have the right to free information about the data stored about you. Insofar as the legal requirements are met, you also have the right to rectification, blocking or deletion of this data. You also have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format; you may transmit this data to other parties or have it transmitted. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
