Privacy Policy
We are delighted that you are interested in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we provide you with detailed information about how we handle your data.
1. Storage of access data in server log files
You can visit our website without providing any personal information. In that case, we only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is evaluated exclusively to ensure the trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our offering, and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your identity. In particular, IP addresses are stored in these log files only in a shortened form that cannot be traced back to an individual.
2. Data collection and use for contract processing and when opening a customer account
We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when contacting us (e.g. via the contact form or email) or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to process the contract and handle your enquiries. After the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after the expiry of the tax and commercial-law retention periods of up to 10 years, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to a use of the data beyond this that is permitted by law and about which we inform you below. You can delete your customer account at any time, either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.
3. Data transfer for contract fulfilment
For the purpose of contract fulfilment, we pass on your data to our sales representatives and to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the ordered goods. To process payments, we pass on the payment data required for this to the bank commissioned with the payment and, where applicable, to payment service providers commissioned by us, or to the payment service you selected during the ordering process.
4. Use of data when subscribing to the email newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the data required for this or provided separately by you in order to regularly send you our email newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.
5. Use of data for postal advertising and your right to object
In addition, we reserve the right to use your company name, first name and surname, your postal address and (insofar as we have received this additional information from you within the scope of the contractual relationship) your title, your academic degree, your year of birth and your professional, industry or business designation, as well as the transaction history of our business relationship, for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information about our products by postal mail. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.
6. Use of cookies
In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them, or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be restricted.
7. Use of Google Analytics for web analysis
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (www.google.de). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. IP anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide further services associated with website use and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not merged with other data held by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. However, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
As an alternative to the browser plugin, you can click this link to prevent collection by Google Analytics on this website in the future. An opt-out cookie will then be placed on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will need to click the link again.
8. Legal bases
The legal basis for the email communication described in section 4 above is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with your respective consent. The legal basis for the data processing for advertising and analysis purposes described in sections 5 and 7 above is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (balancing of interests, based on our interest in successfully marketing our own products). For the remaining processing operations described herein, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract fulfilment and pre-contractual measures).
9. Your rights and contact option
You have the right to free information about the data stored about you. Insofar as the legal requirements are met, you also have the right to rectification, blocking or deletion of this data. You also have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format; you may transmit this data to other parties or have it transmitted. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
If you have any questions about the collection, processing or use of your personal data, about information, rectification, blocking or deletion of data, as well as the revocation of consent granted or objection to a particular use of data, please contact:
